This is God's Country

My father will remind me that these mountains of the High Country were God's original mountains, not created by the great Pangaea or billions of years of erosion, but the real deal, part of the original creation. Here in the High Country, we get to witness it from the top, looking out at just how vast and creative our God truly is. The sky spans to an eternity, a simple demonstration of the extent of His love and goodness, gently set out before us and ready for us to enjoy if we just take the time to stop and look. "Be Still," He simply instructs, and yet we barely stop long enough to raise our eyes and look out. So here's my "Still Stop" every day. I pull over and pause after dropping off my daughter to have a moment to take in the way God is at work in my life that one single morning. Where is your "Still Stop" today? Do you need to make one?
