There is a time...

There is a time for everything.
I’ve been in full-time ministry from 1987 to 2025. That’s nearly four decades of walking with people, serving the church, and leaning into the call God placed on my life as a 23-year-old. It’s been a journey full of incredible highs and some very deep lows—but through it all, one truth remains: God has been faithful.
Over the years, as Marie and I prayed, we began to sense a stirring in our hearts. A gentle tug. A whisper from God that a change was coming. Not a change in calling or purpose—those have stayed the same—but a change in how we live that calling out. A change for our family. A change for the church we loved and served (CBTS). A change in location.
And if I’m honest—I resisted. I hesitated. I let fear take the lead for a while. Fear of the unknown, fear of stepping out, fear of leaving something so familiar and deeply rooted in my identity.
But God continued to nudge. And eventually, I listened.
If you find yourself in a season like that—on the edge of something new, uncertain, even scary—I want you to know: I understand. It’s not easy. But God is faithful, even when everything around us seems to shift or shake.
Hebrews 13:8 reminds us: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
Hold onto that. Wherever you are on the journey, He is with you.
